ABOUT ME:
I have been working in clay for over 20 years, going back to my days in high school where I would spend as much time in the clay studio as my teacher would allow (and she allowed a lot!). The degree I received from Hamilton College was in Biology, but I spent far more time in the Ceramics studio than in the lab. So I switched gears (and coasts) after graduation and received a post-baccalaureate degree in ceramics at the Oregon College of Art & Craft. After completing two degrees I decided I didn't want to stray too far from the academic environment and I went to work as an Admissions Counselor at the Corcoran College of Art + Design where I was inspired by many talented young artists. I received an MFA in Ceramics at Rochester Institute of Technology's School for American Crafts and maintain a studio in Rockville, MD.
